Handmade in Utah, one piece at a time

Salt City Workshop is a small woodworking shop in Utah. We make useful, beautiful things from real wood: wooden handbags, holiday decor, baby rattles, craft kits, and kitchen pieces. Every item is designed and finished by hand in our workshop.

Real wood, no stain

We work with real hardwood in walnut, maple, cherry, cedar, sapele, and hickory. We don't stain our wood. The color you see is the wood's own, protected with a clear finish. Because every board is different, the grain and tone vary from piece to piece, so each piece has its own character.

How we make it

Our work blends traditional woodworking with modern tools. Handbags and holiday decor are laser-cut and assembled by hand for depth and detail. Our rattles are turned on a lathe and polished smooth so they're gentle on little hands.
